A rim fits your car when four measurements match: the bolt pattern (for example 5x112), the centre bore, the offset (ET) and the rim width. You’ll find your car’s values in the owner’s manual, on the driver’s door pillar or stamped on the inside of the original rim.
The rim diameter must be approved for the car and match the tyre: an R17 rim takes, for example, a 225/45 R17 tyre. If you go up or down a rim size, pick a tyre profile that keeps the wheel’s overall diameter within about ±3% of the original — the tyre size calculator checks this for you.
For winter, choose alloy rims marked for winter use, or steel rims: polished and glossy finishes suffer quickly on salted roads. Not sure about the fit? Send us your car’s make, model and year and we’ll check before you order.
